Effect of Different Levels of Stocking Density and Two Systems of Aquaculture on Performance of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)

Abstract

The current study was carried out at the Fish Nutrition Laboratory, Animal and Fish Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University and at two private farms, located in EL-Beheira Governorate and Alexandria Governorate in summer of 2019 and 2020, respectively. Two experiments were designed, the first experiment to investigate the effect of different levels of stocking density of Nile tilapia at different age stages (fry, fingerlings and adult) reared in habas and its effected-on growth performance, feed utilization, condition factor, survival rate and production of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus.
